Ethan Duvall

PRESIDENT / FOUNDER

Ethan Duvall is an ecologist, conservationist, and PhD candidate at Cornell University. He was raised in the Cascade Mountains of Washington State, USA, but has been passionate about the Amazon Rainforest since he was very young. Ethan has worked collaboratively throughout the western Amazon conducting research in support of conservation for the last several years.

Witnessing the unprecedented loss of biodiversity and cultural integrity in the Ecuadorian Amazon initiated the creation of ARCC. Ethan recognized the critical role of interdisciplinary research and communication alongside local communities for shaping conservation outlooks – work that was not limited by a lack of passionate or capable people, but only by access to necessary resources and collaboration. Ethan founded ARCC in 2024 with the ambition of bringing more hard work, attention, and outcomes to conservation in the Ecuadorian Amazon.
