ARCC Research Grant

  • The ARCC Research Grant supports innovative research initiatives in the Ecuadorian Amazon intended to inform conservation or restoration (from a social, economic, ecological or other perspective). The grant will award $1500 to a recipient each year to support the development or completion of a proposed research project. The awarded fellow will be responsible for communicating their research topic to through blogs and social media, and may work with ARCC collaboratively to expand their network and conservation impact.

  • The grant is open to all Ecuadorians aged 18 and over who have experience with the scientific method.

  • Submission deadline for 2024 cycle: October 5th, 11:59pm ET 2024

ARCC Journalism Grant

  • The ARCC Journalism Grant provides a platform and professional development skills for Ecuadorians interested in conservation writing, media, and journalism. The fund will award $1000 to a recipient each year to support journalism field trips, article writing, and media development in the Ecuadorian Amazon. The awarded fellow will be responsible for generating written articles, blogs, and social media content on their proposed topic. The proposed topic must relate to high priority conservation challenges in the Ecuadorian Amazon (from the social, economic, ecological or other perspective). The awarded fellow will have the opportunity to expand their journalism skills, grow their network, and broaden their impact on conservation.

  • The grant is available to all Ecuadorians aged 18 and over, ideally with experience in journalism, media, or writing.

  • Submission deadline for 2024 cycle: October 5th, 11:59pm ET 2024
